AGUANGA – A mobile home caught fire in Aguanga Monday, Jan. 29, but was contained before it could spread to nearby vegetation.
The non-injury fire was reported at 12:03 p.m. at a single-wide mobile home in the 42000 block of Inland Road, according to April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department.
Crews found the unoccupied trailer “fully involved in fire,” Newman said. The flames spread to a power pole next to the trailer, but crews were able to “mitigate any spread into the vegetation,” according to Newman.
Firefighters contained the blaze, which caused an estimated $25,000 in damage, at 2:29 p.m.
